This is my large Phoenix lino cut on creamy handmade Hemp paper. Each print has been individually printed by me from a hand carved block, using rich golden oil based relief ink. This design was inspired by the Japanese folk-lore storied of the Phoenix rising from the ashes, rebirth through fire, and the cycles of life in our own ephemeral nature, which is represented by the magnolias.

This is a limited edition print of eight. Each print is hand signed and editioned by me, and will be posted rolled using biodegradable and/or recyclable wrapping.

each print may differ slightly and contain some unique imperfections, as is the nature of printmaking. Size is approximately 71x53cm due to deckled edges. Printed area size is 57x41cm. Colour of photos doesn’t always exactly match the real thing.
